Passing of 1982 Hall of Fame Member: “Happy Louie” Dusseault

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of 1982 IPA Hall of Fame Inductee;

Louis George “Happy Louie” Dusseault.

Happy Louie was one of the most dynamic and charismatic polka entertainers in the field.  The way Louie was able to connect with his fans on stage is legendary.

For the past several years, Louie had become debilitated due to Parkinson’s disease.  Although the disease took its toll on Louie, it did not stop him from promoting and hosting several events in and around the New England area benefiting Parkinson’s research.

Louie was a true pioneer and will be greatly missed.  On behalf of the International Polka Association’s Officers and Directors, our sincere condolences to Louie’s wife Julia and their children and grandchildren.
