| What goes better with polkas than good music, great friends, and a plate of delicious home-cooked ethnic food? The International Polka Association is excited to announce a brand-new project for 2027 — an IPA Cookbook! We want to capture the recipes, traditions, and stories that have been passed down through generations of IPA Hall of Famers, musicians, polka fans, and their families.Whether it’s your grandmother’s famous pierogi, a favorite Polish sausage recipe, a treasured Slovenian dish, a German specialty, or simply the recipe everyone asks you to bring to the family picnic — we want it! This cookbook will be a celebration of the wonderful food and family traditions that are such an important part of the polka community. Share your favorite recipes: We are currently collecting recipes from: IPA Hall of Famers Polka Musicians Polka Fans & IPA Members Families throughout the polka community Your recipe could become part of a cookbook that helps preserve these traditions for generations to come! The finished IPA Cookbook will be available for purchase at the 59th Annual IPA Polka Festival & Convention in 2027. So pull out that old recipe card, ask Grandma for her secret ingredient, or send us the dish your family is famous for! Let’s fill the pages with the flavors, memories, and traditions of Polka!
