After months of planning, collaboration, and development, the International Polka Association is proud to officially launch the Virtual IPA Hall of Fame Museum!
Working closely with our web development team, we have brought a long-standing vision to life — creating an online destination where fans, historians, and future generations can explore and celebrate the rich history of polka music.
We invite you to explore the museum and celebrate the people and moments that made polka music what it is today.
Phase One – Now Live
The first phase of the museum features profiles of all IPA Hall of Fame inductees, recognizing the legendary performers, promoters, broadcasters, and supporters who helped shape the world of polka music. Their stories, achievements, and contributions are now available for everyone to experience online.
Phase Two – Preserving Our History
Our next phase will introduce an extensive collection of historical documents and archives that have been carefully scanned from the original physical IPA Museum that once existed in Chicago. These materials will help preserve important pieces of polka history and make them accessible to fans everywhere.
Phase Three – The Fans Become the Curators
Perhaps the most exciting phase is still to come. We will soon invite polka fans from around the world to help us grow the museum by sharing memorabilia and artifacts that may be tucked away in basements, garages, attics, and personal collections. From vintage records and concert posters to photographs and instruments, your memories can help us preserve the living history of polka music.
The International Polka Association is also working with promoters, musicians, and organizations throughout the polka community to ensure that this history is preserved and shared for generations to come.
Polka has always been about community, tradition, and celebration — and this museum helps ensure those stories are never lost.
We also ask that all polka fans share this site with others for the love of polkas.
