The NEW DIRECTION BAND is Western New York’s only “Chicago Style” polka band, Together for five years The New Direction Band is made up of five of Buffalo’s most versatile and experienced polka musicians in the polka field today.

Ron Urbanczyk plays the concertina, Jim Raczkowski the drums, Bob Krupka is on trumpet, Frank Zeczak clarinet and sax and Gene Rzeznik plays the bass guitar.

The band has performed across Western New York from Dunkirk to Niagara Falls and Lackawanna to Utica; and has appeared at several national polka festivals around the country. They play locally just about every weekend…they have recorded two CD’s, Follow Directions and Clear Directions and are now working on their third CD….
