Join the squeezebox celebration at the 38th annual Super Button Box Bash on Sunday, April 24, 2022. Dance to the sounds of sixty accordions, plus jam sessions all day. The Slovenian Society Home in Euclid, Ohio, becomes the Woodstock of Polka Music just for the occasion, from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Enjoy the grandest festival of button accordion music in North America. Bring your own box and play along. Indulge in nationality treats, such as smoked Slovenian sausage, savory roast beef and strudel.  Pick up a souvenir t-shirt, sweatshirt, babushka or polka CD at the Polka Hall of Fame pop-up shop.

The event showcases the diatonic accordion, also known as the button box. The button-operated accordion works like a harmonica – when a key is pressed, it sounds a different note when the bellows are squeezed or extended. Musicians learn the instrument by ear and enjoy performing old tunes together.

Button box groups and artists appear on the main stage, plus polka jamming in the party hall. Thrill to top polka entertainers. Featured performers so far include:

Your hosts are the National Cleveland-Style Polka Hall of Fame and the Slovenian Society Home, 20713 Recher Avenue, in Euclid, Ohio. Take I-90 to the East 200^th exit; go north on East 200^th one-half mile and turn right on Lindbergh Avenue to the Hall.

Admission is $10. 18 and under free. Dinners, sandwiches, side dishes, desserts and beverages are available. Advance tickets recommended.
